Pacific Northwest Premier Mobile Motorcycle Dyno Tuner

ECU Flash Tuning

We can flash and tune stock ECU’s on the majority of all motorcycles. This can be through a variety of software programs we are certified and experienced in using. What this means is, we adjust everything the ECU controls, so we can optimize your bike for peak efficiency and performance with a simple flash. This means you don’t need any aftermarket piggy back plug in controllers for fueling or timing, on some bikes you can even run quickshifters off of the stock ECU’s and multiple maps, etc. The cost is between $250-$550 depending on the bike, please call or message for more information as this is the latest and greatest cutting edge tuning technology services that 2 Wheel DynoWorks is proud to offer to its customers.

What have you seen done on a 2012 Aprilia RSV4 Factory? ECU would be shipped. What would cost be on that? Thanks Serge

    • The best option for that bike is a power commander that comes with a secondary fuel module and a good tune. We cannot flash the ECU on those bikes yet.

Hi. I have a 2016 Aprilia RSV4 RF. Full Akra exhaust system. Do you have a flash for this ECU ? If so, how much it will cost ? Thank you.

      October 27, 2016 at 2:52 PM

      • We currently only tune the RSV4 in house with a Power Commander or its equivalent.

I’ve trawled your site to find the answer but can’t so I’m sorry if it’s there…what’s the difference between a ecu flash and ecu unleashed?… They both appear to achieve the same results.

    • ECUnleashed is the name of a company that creates ecu flashes. An ecu flash is basically like upgrading software on your computer and puts the new settings in place of the old ones.

Ah got it, thanks…I thought it was two different products/services but it’s just one and the same!

        March 4, 2014 at 9:55 PM

      • Yup! And depending on the bike, we use different software options to flash the ecu’s too!

Do you have a flash for a 2010 Concours 1400 with the dual muzzys exhaust?

What is the cost of an ECU reflash on a 2014 FZ-09? I was referred to you by Stoltec, since they are no longer doing these. I have a Graves full exhaust with block off plates installed.

    July 20, 2014 at 4:43 PM

    • $350. Flashtune enacted a fee per flash specifically locked to each ecu

    • Jon

Hey Jerry, was your stop plates and exhaust dealer installed at the time you bought the bike? I have the same bike and they told me the O2 sensor made all the necessary adjustments without the need for ECU tuning. I knew it was BS. Now i’m fighting with them for misrepresenting. If I knew I would have to spend several hundred more dollars to finish the job I would have took the stock bike. It had great, smooth accceleration and a much cheaper price tag. Without the tuning the performance is a drop off from the stock exhaust.

      • Jerry

Jon, I installed the exhaust and block off plates myself after purchasing the bike. Sorry to hear ur getting the run around. I still have my stock exhaust on hand, less than 2000 miles in it.

Thanks for the quick response. Another question…It sounds like you are using Flash Tune to tune the ecu, what is the difference between the standard full exhaust flash tune and custom flash tune?

    July 20, 2014 at 5:50 PM

    • The flashtune base flash is a base map. The custom mapping we developed with nick is a fully customized dyno tuned optimized tune specifically built for the bike and that specific exhaust. Its like buying a car , you can buy a Kia, or a bmw. They’re both cars, but ones better than the other.

I understand. Thank you. Is this something that can be done by mailing you my ECU or do you need the bike? I live in Indiana so getting you the bike could be a challenge!! Just wanting as much info as possible before I make a decision. Sorry to be a pain.

    July 20, 2014 at 6:32 PM

    • It’s something we do by mail all the time! Shoot me an email at 2wheeldynoworks@gmail.com and we can go over more specifics or questions you have!

I was thinking about getting an ecu flash done on my FZ09 as well. What would be the cost on that? I have a stock bike, would the flash make a big difference? I’d be shipping from BC Canada. Thanks!

    August 11, 2014 at 4:16 AM

    • Cost is $350 plus shipping, it’s not a far ride down to Woodinville depending on where in BC you are too!

      August 11, 2014 at 7:46 AM

    • The flash makes a huge difference with custom throttle mapping, fueling and timing tables~

Great to here, I live in Vancouver and it would be a good ride but I think ill opt to send it in. How long does it take to get there and back typically?

    August 16, 2014 at 7:40 PM

    • Generally depends on what type of shipping you go with, it’s usually very quick though.

i have a 2005 kawaski zx 636 r and am puitting a akropivic slip on on it ordered a power commander v for it to but am thinking of having it the ecu flashed instead how much would that cost ?

    September 7, 2014 at 6:45 AM

    • With no power commander, $449 includes all the custom tuning. Flash with power commander tuning is $399 because of the time is saves me

Looking to do a Flash for a 14 FZ-09 as well with full Akropovic Exhaust. Cost of this? and would i still need to do a power commander after or are you able to do tunes for the specific exhaust?

    September 18, 2014 at 10:36 AM

  12. FZ09

Do I need a power commander in order to get a flash? I have a FZ09. And should I wait after I put my Akra exhaust on, or does it matter? Thanks!

    September 19, 2014 at 6:32 PM

    • You do not, however it does help speed up the fuel tuning. Exhaust should be installed first as well.

    Hello,

I have a 2010 Yamaha Stratoliner Deluxe I’ve added a D&D slip on to. Since then it’s been seeming to run slightly rich. I’ve done no other mods than just the muffler. Wondering how much it would be for you guys to work your magic on her. Thanks!

    March 26, 2015 at 12:06 PM

    • Starts at $225. Give us a call at 425-269-5332 to go over more details about your bike and what’s going on with it

I have a 2014 yamaha fz-09. I tried to take the cheap way out and have Yamaha reflash ecu to smooth throttle out, but it is worse than before now. I ride the Dragon in North Carolina and this thing is a handful. Can you reflash even though it has been done before?

    June 21, 2015 at 4:10 AM

    • Sure can! When we’re done it’ll be smooth as butter!

I just got a yoshimura full exhaust for my 2016 Yamaha FZ07 and want to know if I should buy a power commander v or get ECU flash. Which is better?

    December 15, 2016 at 7:28 PM

    • Congratulations that’s a great exhaust. We recommend an ECU Flash. With that you will not need a power commander as we tune the fueling in the flash. The flash then tunes much more than a pc ever could. You’ll get a much better performing bike and total package with the ecu flash

Hi, I’m trying to price my 2014 aprilia rsv4 aprc abs stick ecu being flashed. Just trying to get my bike running a little leaner because right now it’s a flame thrower lol.

    May 14, 2017 at 9:57 PM

    • Currently we only do power commander tunes on the dyno for the RSV4. The software companies we use are still currently developing the code to be able to access the ecu’s so at this time we can’t flash them. We’re hoping in the next 6 months to have this released to us so that we can create some flashes for them though.

      May 26, 2017 at 10:08 AM

    • Price for power commander tune is $199, price for ecu flash is $399
