Why ECU Flashing?

ECU flashing is not only a more cost-effective tuning solution—it provides access to calibration parameters that many external tuning solutions simply cannot modify.

ECU flashing allows us to optimize fuel and ignition mapping while retaining the ECU's ability to compensate for changing atmospheric conditions. It also gives us access to additional calibration parameters, such as electronic throttle mapping and other ECU-controlled functions, allowing for a more complete and precise calibration.

Dyno Developed. Real-World Refined.

All 2WDW Custom ECU Mapping is developed in-house through extensive dyno testing, allowing us to precisely evaluate and optimize fueling, ignition timing, electronic throttle (ETV/STP) mapping, and other available ECU parameters under controlled and repeatable conditions.

But our development doesn't stop at the dyno; all of our tuning is further tested and refined through real-world riding and extensive datalogging. This allows us to evaluate how the motorcycle responds with our custom ECU mapping across the wide range of loads, speeds, temperatures, atmospheric conditions, and transient situations encountered outside of the dyno room.

By combining controlled dyno development with real-world testing and datalog analysis, we're able to deliver a complete, thoroughly developed ECU calibration for your bike's specific aftermarket (or stock) intake/exhaust combination that performs optimally both on the dyno and, where it matters most, when you're riding your motorcycle!

Free Mapping Updates for as Long as You Own the Motorcycle

Our Mail-In ECU Flashing Service includes FREE future mapping updates for as long as you own the motorcycle. If your setup changes and an updated map is needed, simply send your ECU back to us. You are responsible only for the cost of shipping your ECU.

Our 2WDW Custom ECU Mapping for these bikes includes:

  • Custom IAP Fuel Maps (Exhaust Specific)
  • Custom TPS Fuel Maps (Exhaust Specific)
  • Custom IAP/TPS Bias Maps
  • Custom Ignition Timing Advance Maps
  • Custom Electronic Throttle Valve (ETV) Maps
  • Custom Engine Braking Control Maps
  • Custom Torque Maps
  • Custom Quickshifter Maps
  • Adjusted Fan Temperature
  • Adjusted Idle RPM
  • Disabled Closed Loop
  • Disabled Deceleration Fuel Cut
  • Disabled Evap / Purge Valve Fault Code
  • Disabled EXUP Fault Code (Aftermarket exhaust only)
  • Disabled PAIR Valve / AIS Fault Code (Aftermarket exhaust only)
  • Disabled Top Speed Limiter

NOTE: All 2022+ models will have a temporary check engine light on after the ECU is powered up outside of the bike for flashing. This will clear itself after TWO ride cycles. Rideability will not be affected while the check engine light is on.

NOTE: All 2022+ models with ANY aftermarket exhaust system MUST have the AIS plugged/blocked off for our custom ECU mapping to function as intended.

NOTE: For cruise control to function, the ECU requires voltage to be present from ALL emissions devices, including the O2 sensors, EXUP servo and AIS solenoid. If you'd like cruise control to function, we recommend leaving the O2 sensors and EXUP servo plugged in. As for the AIS, block off plates can still be installed OR a plug can be used in the AIS feed hose, but the AIS solenoid itself should be left plugged into the harness if the rest of the AIS system is removed.
